On-site work in Dubai is mostly these rooms.
Investor and family-office meetings
Gulf family offices, Asian sovereign funds, and Western PE managers in DIFC, in one multi-party room.
Executive visits to MENA regional HQs
Korean, Japanese, or Western executives running MENA regional strategy meetings, often combined with Abu Dhabi or Riyadh visits in the same week.
International conferences at DWTC
Conference interpretation for ATM, Arab Health, GITEX, and similar regional flagships.
Each engagement gets its own test, built for that room: Gulf-register comprehension, multi-party negotiation, Islamic-finance vocabulary such as sukuk, whatever the request actually needs.
How it works
01
Sign up
Takes 10 minutes. Enter your language pairs, specialties, and service types. Then add Dubai to your profile's Active Regions.
02
Profile approval
Upload your résumé and a profile photo. The MetaPret team reviews them and verifies your profile.
03
A test per engagement
When a request comes in, a test is built for that request's field and format. The test opens once the client confirms the request, and we email you when it does.
04
Match and pay
Score highest on the engagement's test and the booking is yours. MetaPret sets the pay per project based on its scope and conditions.
Tiers
- Senior
- Junior
- Associate
The MetaPret team sets your tier when you're verified, and can move it as your record grows. Passed engagement tests and finished work make up that record.
Tests are scored on three qualitative axes: content fidelity, target-language fluency, and delivery. The scores stay internal.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to live in Dubai?
Your profile keeps your home city separate from your Active Regions, where you can list every city you can work in. Add Dubai there and you'll get alerts for on-site Dubai engagements. These are on-site jobs, so you need to be in Dubai on the dates of the engagement you apply to.
Can I take only weekend or short, one-off engagements?
Yes. Engagements are posted one at a time, and each posting lists its dates. Apply only to the ones that fit your schedule.
Can I apply with no experience?
Yes. Registering has no experience requirement. Each request is decided by its own test in the field, so the skill you show there is what gets you matched.
Which language pairs can I apply with?
Each posting lists its language pair. You apply to engagements that match the language pairs you entered when you signed up, and new-engagement alerts follow the same pairs.
How is pay set?
MetaPret sets per-project pay based on the project's scope and conditions. The interpreter pay is shown on each posting.
When do I take the test?
The test opens once the client confirms the request. Apply, and we'll email you when the test opens.
Can I use MetaPret alongside my agency?
Yes. MetaPret runs alongside agencies. It's one more path to work, not a replacement for anything.
