How work at MetaPret runs
Anyone can sign up. Each match is decided by MetaPret from the candidates who took that request's test.

How do I start?
Create an account and add your language pairs, fields and city. There is no exam to sign up.

Verification and tier
What does approval look at?
Upload your résumé and a profile photo. A MetaPret reviewer checks them and approves you, and assigns your tier (Senior, Junior or Associate) at that point.
Once approved, you can apply to requests on the request board.

The request test
What happens after I apply?
Every request has its own test, built for that field. You hear each passage once and interpret it straight away, in both directions of the language pair, and it's recorded.
MetaPret AI reviews every recording, and MetaPret selects the interpreter from the confirmed candidates. When feedback is published, you'll find the source text, your recording and item-by-item feedback on your dashboard.

Assignment confirmation
What do I check once I'm matched?
The assignment confirmation lists the date and time, place, language pair, mode, expected hours, field, fee and payout date. Ask about anything missing or unclear before you accept. Declining because the date or field doesn't suit you carries no penalty.

On the day
What's expected on site?
Preparation, arrival, speaking in the first person, stopping to check when unsure, what not to do, and confidentiality are all in the field guide.

Payout
When am I paid?
Work completed by the 20th is paid on the 25th of that month. Work completed from the 21st is paid on the 25th of the following month. If the 25th isn't a business day, payment goes out on the business day before.
MetaPret pays you regardless of when the client pays. The net amount on your assignment confirmation is what arrives.

Your profile afterwards
Where does completed work show up?
Work done through MetaPret appears on your public profile as a card, with the client's star rating and called-out qualities. Those qualities add up to badges from Bronze to Platinum.
Upload a contract or confirmation for a résumé entry and, once MetaPret AI checks it, the entry is marked as confirmed. On the skills page you switch skills on and off by language pair and field.
