What's changed at MetaPret

Changes that are already live, newest first, marked by who they affect.

  1. Everyone

Interpreting 101 is live: ten chapters for clients, seven steps for interpreters

Our guides are now gathered into ordered contents: one path for people hiring an interpreter for the first time, one for interpreters working with MetaPret.

    • For clients, ten chapters: interpreting vs translation, modes, in person or remote, cost, reading a quote, checking skill, briefing, equipment and the room, on the day, afterwards
    • For interpreters, seven steps: sign-up, verification and tier, the request test, assignment confirmation, on the day, payout, your profile afterwards
  2. Everyone

Interpreter profiles now show MetaPret work and client feedback

Work completed through MetaPret, and what clients said afterwards, now appear on each interpreter's public profile.

    • One card per assignment: month, number of days, field, language pair and mode
    • Client feedback: star rating, how many would work with the interpreter again, and the qualities clients called out. Clients are not named
    • Called-out qualities add up to badges: Bronze (1), Silver (3), Gold (10), Platinum (25). Badges are separate from the Senior, Junior and Associate tiers
    • Field breakdown: MetaPret AI analyses the résumé and shows each field's share with the number of entries behind it. Select a field to see only that experience
    • The profile PDF can be downloaded for a single field
  3. Interpreters

The interpreter dashboard has been reorganised

Tabs are gone. The dashboard is now one page that leads to each area, with this month's payout at the top.

    • Test feedback: for request tests with published feedback, see the source text, your recording and item-by-item feedback on one page. If a point is wrong, you can send a correction request for that item
    • Skills: switch your skills on and off by language pair and field. Request tests and completed work in that field show up automatically
    • Work history and reviews: your MetaPret assignments and client feedback in one place
    • Career evidence: upload a contract or confirmation for a résumé entry. After MetaPret AI checks it, the entry is marked as confirmed on your public profile. Files stay private, and you can black out amounts and contact details
  4. Clients

Pricing and How we test pages, rewritten

One page on how a quote is set, one page on the test that runs before every match.

    • Pricing: the four things that set the amount (type of request, location, language pair, urgency), example ranges by tier, what a quote includes, cancellation and quality terms
    • How we test: the six steps from a field-specific test to a confirmed match
    • Clients don't compare candidates. MetaPret makes the selection, and you receive the matched interpreter's profile and why they fit the request
