Quality Standards

We Test Skill, Not Resumes

MetaPret interpreters are verified through request-based interpretation tests. Only verified pros are matched.

Why Testing Matters

There is no industry standard for verifying an interpreter's skill before you hire them.

Resumes don't guarantee skill

10 years of experience doesn't mean high performance. Real interpretation ability is invisible on paper.

You can't verify until it's too late

Most clients discover their interpreter's actual ability during the job. By then, you've already committed.

Certifications don't tell the full story

Certifications prove general competence, not domain-specific skill in pharma, legal, or finance.

How the Test Works

A custom test designed from the client's request measures the exact skills needed for that assignment.

1

Test Designed From Your Request

You describe your project — industry, terminology, context. A custom test is generated for that exact assignment. Not a generic exam.

2

Interpreters Record Their Performance

Interpreters listen to test passages and record their interpretation in real time. Same conditions as the actual job.

3

Multiple Assessors Cross-Evaluate

At least 2 independent assessors evaluate each recording on accuracy, logic, and delivery. Results are averaged across assessors.

4

Verification result

Pass the threshold and you receive Verified status. Below threshold means no match.

5

You Review and Choose

Review verified candidates by city, language pair, and domain — along with the per-project quote — then confirm the match. The choice is yours.

Scoring Criteria

MetaPret verifies on three dimensions: accuracy, logic, and delivery.

Accuracy

How precisely the source meaning is conveyed

Logic

Whether sentence structure and logical flow are natural

Delivery

Clarity of pronunciation, intonation, and delivery

Verified by averaged scores from multiple assessors.

Verified status

Verified interpreter

Only verified interpreters appear on match results. Tier and score details are managed internally; clients see only verification status.

How Verification Compares

Traditional Platforms

  • Resume and credential-based screening
  • Self-reported experience
  • No measurement of actual skill
  • Quality unknown until the job
  • Platform fee taken from interpreter pay

MetaPret

  • Custom skill test per client request
  • Audio-recorded real interpretation
  • Multiple assessors cross-evaluate
  • Only verified interpreters appear in match results
  • Interpreter keeps 100% of their pay — 0% deducted

Cross-Evaluation Ensures Fairness

Every test is scored by at least 2 independent assessors. Results are averaged across assessors, so no single person's opinion determines the outcome.

After each project, client reviews are factored in. Custom tests per assignment assess the exact skills needed for that specific field.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about our testing and verification

Multiple assessors cross-evaluate. No single person's opinion decides. Custom tests per request assess the exact skills needed for that specific field.

Clients see verified status, city, language pair, and domain. Detailed scores are visible only to the interpreter.

Most rely on credential checks or self-reported experience. MetaPret verifies interpreters through a standardized skill test that measures actual interpretation performance.
