What a local expert does

  • Sits in the meeting and prepares the ground
  • Records and reports what they saw
  • Carries the local language and how deals are done

What it doesn't cover

Licensed work is out of scope: legal or tax advice, visa and permit filings, and recruitment or headhunting.

Decisions, contracts and filings stay with you and your licensed advisers.

If nobody in that city passes the check, you hear it before the work starts. MetaPret does not send an unchecked person in their place.

Questions

How is a local expert different from an interpreter?

An interpreter carries what is said between languages. A local expert does work on the ground: finding buyers or suppliers, checking a factory, staffing a booth, writing a market report, or running a trip. If you need language work too, the local language specialist role covers interpreting, translation, and local context in one person.

How does MetaPret check someone who is not an interpreter?

Résumé approval and field experience first, then a task built for your request: a sample candidate list for sourcing, a checklist review for a factory audit, a one-page briefing for advisory, an outline and summary for a research report, a route plan for a coordinator, and a language test plus role-play for booth staff. Only those who pass are matched.

What does a local expert cost?

There is no published price. You get one quote per request after you send it, because the cost depends on the city, the role, the dates, and the scope. The quote shows the expert's pay and the MetaPret fee as separate figures.

Which cities can I get a local expert in?

Local Expert candidates are sourced in the city for each request, starting with MetaPret's registered interpreters, and checked before the match. MetaPret's verified interpreter supply is deepest in Seoul today. If nobody passes, you are told before the work starts.

Can a local expert handle visas, permits, or hiring for me?

No. Legal or tax advice, visa and permit filings, and recruitment or headhunting need licensed professionals and are outside Local Expert.
